Wines from volcanic soils are often of top quality.
The most famous "volcanic wines" come from Sicily (Mount Etna) and the Naples area (Mount Vesuvius), and are also from other volcanic regions situated along the edges of tectonic plates, including Oregon, New Zealand or Hawaii's Kilauea.
