The Museum of Art at Rhode Island School of Design houses treasures and curiosities from around the world and across the millennia. This tour will spotlight the splendid European and American galleries. George M. Goodwin, Ph.D., who has studied the museum's collection for nearly 30 years, will be our guide. His remarks will either honor or haunt the memories of his renowned Columbia professors from the early 1970s who lectured on the eighth floor of Schermerhorn Hall. Please meet in the lobby of the Farago Wing on Benefit Street at 2:30 pm on Sunday, May 17. The guided tour will last for approximately one hour. Thereafter, attendees may choose to continue exploring the museum or gather at a local restaurant to discuss more over light appetizers.
Admission to the RISD Museum is free on Sundays.
