Dear Club Members,
Columbia Alumni Association of Rhode Island (CAARI) is teaming up with the other RI Ivy+ alumni clubs to form a new Rhode Island Alumni Service Corps (RIASC), which we hope will bring larger numbers of alums to selected community service projects. We're happy to announce an exciting opportunity to help improve educational outcomes for RI students, and to meet Ivy+ alums while doing that.
College Visions is a Providence-based charity focusing on college access and success for first-generation and low-income students. There are many ways to be involved long-term with College Visions' important work over the academic year, but there is also an immediate opportunity to help with their summer program by conducting mock interviews in late July.
What: Conduct college admissions practice interviews for students enrolled in College Visions' summer program. Online training will be available live and recorded prior to the interview dates.
When: July 28 and 29, 2022, from 9 am to 12 pm both days
Where: RISD, Providence
Time Required: Each day will be divided into two blocks, 9:00 to 10:30 and 10:30 to 12:00. You may sign up for one or more of the four blocks.
