Polo is Back!

 

 

Our signature event, the All-Ivy Polo and Tailgate has returned for a record seventh consecutive year. 

The popular gathering draws dozens of alumni from several Ivies. It is blast, as many attendees dress up ala Kentucky Derby style, with festive hats and enjoy cocktails and treats.  The event begins with a tailgate in the pre-marked spots right on the polo lawn. Alumni get a front row seat to the match; this year it's USA vs. Mexico.  It's "bring your own" for this gathering, which adds to the merriment of the day. The alumni's set up under tents with each school banner prominently displayed.  Look for the Blue Banner!  Roar!  

This year alumni leaders from Brown University, our long-time partners on this are taking the reins for this  years festivities that take place Saturday, Sept. 18 at Newport International Polo Grounds & Pavilion in Portsmouth Rhode Island.  Information is below for the event. Brown Club of RI invites its alumni and alumni of Columbia, Cornell,
Dartmouth, Penn, Princeton and Yale to gather for a tailgate potluck in conjunction with The Newport International Polo Series (Newport vs. Mexico).

Please bring your own seating and a dish to share.

The clubs will supply water, plates, napkins, and utensils.

Due to COVID-19 spacing, we will not be able to accommodate general admission ticket holders in the tailgate seating area in order to prevent overcrowding.

Tailgate seating tickets carry an additional fee because of the proximity to the field.

Cost:
Children up to age 15 free
BCRI Premium Members and Young Alumni $27
Alumni, Parents and Guests $29

RSVP by 9/14 through the website and contact (prior to this, Lisa will email you tickets, but note that there is a several day delay in the system for processing and it may take longer as the alumni office may only update her weekly in the weeks and months leading up to the match).

 

*Please note that this is for the tailgate seating section only, not parking. Parking is across from the seating area but if you require accessible parking please contact Lisa
