The Tailgate Party for the Columbia vs. Brown football game was a huge success -- drawing a tremendous turnout of roughly 100 attendees on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Brown Stadium, and making it our largest attendance of a club event thus far. We want to give a big THANK YOU to all who came, who helped out and added to our camaraderie. (See more recap and photos after the jump.)

CAARI Football Tailgate
The blustery cold air and intermittent clouds threatened the fun, but it didn’t stop the party. We fired up our grill early -- manned by Paul and Aaron -- amid challenging wind gusts, which nearly thwarted our attempts to secure the tablecloths and our banner. Local alumni began filtering in early between 10:30 and 11 a.m., followed by a busload of hungry football enthusiasts from Holyoke, Mass. We want to thank alum Marty Dunne for organizing that spirited group. We served traditional fare including pizza and wings, hot dogs and burgers, with beer, coffee, hot cocoa and sweet treats to round it out.
We saw many new faces in the mix, as well as a regular crowd that have been attending since we launched the club a year ago. Our party culminated with a couple of giveaways before heading to the stadium at 12:30 p.m. for kick-off to root for our Lions. A special thank you goes to Brianna Clementz, our regional club liaison at the university. She traveled from New York to join us for the tailgate. Her presence and leadership made the event even more special.
We hope to see you at future events. Please view our calendar and save the date!
