February 20, 2015 was an exciting evening for the Columbia Alumni Association of Rhode Island (CAARI). CAARI members, family and friends gathered at Flatbread Pizza Company (Providence, RI) and enjoyed delicious pizza, salad and drinks. Columbia Men's Basketball assistant coach, Derrick Phelps, attended the gathering and provided a rousing speech about the Lions.
The good karma carried on to the Columbia Lions vs. Brown Bears basketball game. CAARI showed their support in the stands and watched Columbia junior Maodo Lo score a career-high 35 points and lead the Lions to a victory over the Bears, 76-59. It was a memorable night, and CAARI looks forward to welcoming back the Lions team next year!
