Tsundoko : Windows to the world

In the lexicon of the world of books, there exists Tsundoku.

It's an art and according to a BBC article, the Japanese-term describes a person who owns a lot of unread books.

But when you think about it, even harvesting book titles is like having multiple windows to the world. Each take the reader to a far away reality, idea, place or history depending on the subject.  The reader is transported, even if for a brief contemplation.

Our own alumni have a virtual shelf of books, poetry, fiction and nonfiction.  When was the last time you perused the collection.  With the pandemic, now is a perfect time to pick up a new title -- even if to only read the title.
