It's our uniquely Rhode Island summertime gathering. This year our theme is Italy! 

The "All-Ivy Newport Polo Tailgate Picnic" returns Saturday, July 8 Newport Polo Grounds at Glen Farm, 250 Linden Ln, Portsmouth, RI

Rhode Island Columbians are excited to partner with other local Ivy-League alumni clubs including Brown, Harvard, Yale, Princeton and Dartmouth, among others, to host a festive picnic beginning at 3:30 p.m.

This year the classic 6-chukker match features Team USA versus Italy, beginning at 5 p.m. 

THE PARTY TAKES PLACE AT TAILGATE SPACES 19, 20, 21, 22 located on the south side.

This year alumni will receive a real treat. 

Guest speakers from Team Italy -- Columbia alum Massimo "Max" Elser and his brother Marco Elser, a Harvard alum -- will stop by around 4 p.m., or so before the match for a meet and greet.  

According to the Newport Polo website, "the Italian team returns to stake its claim on the elusive perpetual USA vs. Italy silver trophy, led by Captain Marco Elser."  

THIS IS A POTLUCK EVENT - ITALIAN STYLE! 

While other clubs are bringing tents and tables, we encourage Columbians to bring themed dishes and beverages to share with the other Ivy clubs.  

DON'T FORGET TO BRING YOUR LAWN CHAIR!

General Admission for Adults is $12; 15 and under are free.  

Tickets may be purchased at the main gate or purchased in advance by clicking here. Parking is Free.

The match is 2 hours in duration. Polo ground gates open at 1 p.m. Feel free to join us anytime between 3:30 and 6:30 p.m.!
